February – an unlucky month for Tsipras

Tsipras atixos 1

Koumoundouros Voice, is not a fan of astrology or still less political ill fate. But we cannot fail to observe that February does not bring luck to Tsipras and – even less – to the hearts of his electorate on St. Valentine’s day.

This month, last year, Alexis experienced his first rout: instead of tearing apart the Memorandum of Agreement with creditors, as he piped away in all tones before the elections, he was forced to sign its extension for four months. In those months under the baton of infamous Varoufakis he changed his art. From piper he converted to carpenter, believing that whittling away time would suit him better. But instead of sawing through the troika he sawed the branch on which he was standing, falling into the cesspool of capital controls and the third and worst Memorandum.

Ever since – my new art, my pride – he whittled away time, once more, leaving the dirty job to committees of wise men and improvisers of tax measures, until he achieved the unachievable: to array everybody, from farmers and fishermen to the Quartet, against him. If you were a real leader, Mr. Tsipras, you would know that galloping electoral promises and the inability to produce sound policies constitute a fatal tandem for any serious politician. Unfortunately your “service experience” in political tacticisms and manoeuvres acquired during illegal school closures, does not help.

Your dilemma, Mr. Tsipras, this February is straight: Do you want or do you not want to continue in government? If yes, speak the truth to the people and start producing political work, preferably unifying and consensual. I not, resign immediately. Whittling away time does help you political future and – what is more important – perhaps whittles away irreversibly the future of this Country.

In straight words this is the reality.
